This house is the place where Jean Monnet wrote the founding document of the European Coal and Steel Community on 9th May 1950. Six countries supported this innovative idea immediately. Great men such as Robert Schuman, Konrad Adenauer or Dwight Eisenhower were welcome there by Jean Monnet.
Let’s discover the living and working environment of one of Europe’s founding fathers!
Today, this house belongs to the European Parliament.
